Continuous Lighting

My venture in photography has taken me to new heights not only in my understanding of my creativity and talent, but has translated in my spiritual growth as well. And lighting is such a huge part of this demonstration. I've studied a lot biblically about the word light and as I continue to grow in this direction I love the way it is translating into my every day understanding of the things that are set before me. But isn't this how God works anyway? :-)
Here are some shots I took last week at Kino Flo Lighting Systems in Burbank at a Continuous Light Seminar by Jose Zakany (who was actually my wedding photographer and one of the most passionate photographers I have ever met! www.josezakany.com) and his partner Gregory Beylerian of Clickbox Studios (www.clickboxstudios.com). The lighting was created using Kino Flo's Diva 400 Lites. Our beautiful model is Roma Perrier.

We'll be introducing all new packaging for our clients' finished products. And we've got a brand new BLOG in the works, to be launched shortly.
Stay tuned!!!

Fun with Tom & Val

These love birds/comedy act are SO much fun to be around. Their joy in and for one another is invigorating. They needed very little direction from me. It was more like following around two celebrities doing there thang. I wish every shoot was thing easy! Our shoot was actually split into two days. Day 1 : Park. Day 2: Balboa Fun Zone & Beach. Needless to say, the day ended with a beautiful sunset and some delicious BJ's Chicago Style Pizza. If you've never been, it's a must if you're in Balboa. And save some room for Pizookie for dessert.... Trust me, it's delicious!!

Jordan & Dyllan

Aren't these girls just the cutest? They kept me on my toes with all their posing ideas, even looking in magazines and picking out poses from there! I could barely get the shot before they were off to the next thing! Little Dyllan is an aspiring model. I think she's well on her way! And Jordan had such great ideas for getting pictures with her skateboard and incorporating their little doggies in a few pictures. Too cute!

With only a few weeks to go, Tiffany and Jeff are getting very excited for the arrival of their first baby, Kai. I am so grateful to have been able to share in this beautiful time with them and capture a few wonderful moments that I know they will never forget!

Congratulations Tiffany & Jeff!

"Isn't there anyone who can tell me what Christmas is all about??"

Sitting on the couch with my husband, watching A Charlie Brown Christmas, always brings the focus back to what the true meaning of Christmas is. Nowadays commercialism is so in the forefront of thought. It is such a wonderful reminder that, although gifts, decorations, lights, christmas trees, packages, boxes, bows, stocking stuffers and Santa are such a wonderful way to celebrate and show our love to our family and friends, if all these things were taken away, we would still have the Christ and the Christ message that is a daily gift we can celebrate every day of the year. And Love is truly the greatest gift we can give one another. It's not something that can be compressed in a box or crammed in a stocking. It is so enormous and universal. It's the gift that is inclusive of everyone and not only for a select few.
And have you ever noticed the "Charlie Brown tree" grows more branches and pine needles throughout the story? The more LOVE it is given, the more it grows, until it becomes a "beautiFULL" little tree. Charlie Brown was just able to see it's beauty from the beginning.
